The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced another increase in the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel in Pakistan.
According to an OGRA notification, the revised prices will take effect from September 9, 2026.
New Petrol Price
The price of petrol has been increased by Rs5.58 per litre. Following the increase, petrol will now cost Rs364.35 per litre.
New High-Speed Diesel Price
The price of high-speed diesel has also been raised by Rs4.18 per litre.
The new price of high-speed diesel has been set at Rs385.95 per litre.
Petrol and Diesel Had Also Become More Expensive a Day Earlier
The latest increase comes after the government had raised fuel prices a day earlier.
On September 7, 2026, the government increased the petrol price by Rs12.90 per litre, taking it to Rs358.77 per litre from September 8. High-speed diesel was increased by Rs3.72 per litre, bringing its price to Rs381.77 per litre.
With the latest increase, petrol has risen by a total of Rs18.48 per litre over the two successive revisions, while high-speed diesel has increased by Rs7.90 per litre.
