Preparations are underway for the nikah of Mahnoor Safdar, the younger daughter of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. Her nikah will take place on September 12 at Jati Umra.
According to sources, the ceremony will be held at Sharif Farms, Jati Umra, at 5 p.m. on Saturday. The event will be simple and limited, with around 100 guests expected to attend.
The guest list will include members of the Sharif family, close relatives and other immediate family connections.
Nikah to be held before rukhsati
Family sources said Mahnoor Safdar’s nikah will take place now, while her rukhsati will be held at a later date.
Mahnoor Safdar recently returned to Pakistan from London. Maryam Nawaz had also travelled to London on a private visit, where she attended her daughter’s graduation ceremony.
Mahnoor completed her education at SOAS University of London.
At the time of her daughter’s graduation, Maryam Nawaz expressed her happiness and thanked Allah for the completion of her younger daughter’s graduation. She also said that all three of her children had completed their higher education.
According to sources, Maryam Nawaz returned to Pakistan from London with her daughter. The date for Mahnoor Safdar’s nikah was finalized after their return.
Family circles said the ceremony will emphasize simplicity, with participation limited mainly to close relatives.
