A theater in Punjab was sealed after a video showing a minor boy watching a dance performance went viral on social media, prompting authorities to take action against the theater management.

Action Against Theater
Following the emergence of the video, the theater was sealed on the direction of Punjab Information and Culture Minister Uzma Bukhari.
According to officials, legal and administrative proceedings have been initiated against the theater management after the incident was taken notice of. Further action is also underway.
Social Media Criticism
The incident also drew criticism from social media users. Actress Mishi Khan said in a video message that she had seen a clip on Instagram in which a 10-year-old boy appeared to praise what she described as inappropriate aspects of a stage dancer’s performance.
Mishi Khan questioned how a child of such a young age could be allowed to attend or watch such a program.
Call for Child Protection Measures
Mishi Khan called for clear and strict standard operating procedures (SOPs) to protect children.
She said incidents of child abuse continue to be reported in Pakistan and stressed the need to pay attention to children’s upbringing and the environment provided to them.
