Chinese Luxury Car Brand Hongqi Preparing to Enter Pakistan

Chinese luxury automaker Hongqi is preparing to enter Pakistan through Dewan Motors, although its local lineup, pricing and launch date have yet to be announced.

Urdu Report Desk

Chinese luxury automaker Hongqi is preparing to enter the Pakistani market through Dewan Motors, adding another premium brand to the country’s growing automotive sector.

Hongqi has launched a teaser campaign on social media featuring the message, “A new expression of automotive luxury is arriving.” The teaser also carries the Dewan Motors name, confirming its involvement in the brand’s entry into Pakistan.

Local Lineup Yet to Be Announced

Neither Hongqi nor Dewan Motors has announced which models will be offered in Pakistan. Pricing, specifications, bookings and the official launch date also remain unconfirmed.

About Hongqi

Hongqi was established in 1958 and is part of China’s FAW Group.

According to the company, its first sedan was produced in 1958 and was among China’s early domestically developed passenger cars. Hongqi vehicles later became associated with Chinese state transport and major national events.

The brand gradually shifted its focus toward commercial luxury vehicles and underwent major strategic and design changes in 2018, followed by wider international expansion.

Hongqi’s Global Lineup

Hongqi currently offers sedans, SUVs and electric vehicles in several international markets, including countries in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

Its global lineup includes models such as the H9, H6, HS5, HS7, E-HS9 and EH7.

Entry Through Dewan Motors

Hongqi’s arrival would expand Pakistan’s growing selection of Chinese automotive brands into the premium segment.

Dewan Motors already has experience in Pakistan’s premium automotive market, particularly through its association with BMW and BMW Motorrad.

Hongqi’s expected entry comes as Pakistan’s automotive market continues to see the presence of electric and hybrid vehicles alongside higher-priced Chinese models.

More Launch Details Awaited

The teaser confirms that Hongqi is preparing to enter Pakistan, but no official announcement has been made about its final launch lineup.

Hongqi’s international portfolio includes both conventional engine-powered and electric vehicles. However, there is currently no confirmation that any specific model, including the H9 or E-HS9, will be offered in Pakistan.

Further details about the vehicles, pricing and launch schedule are expected once Dewan Motors formally announces the brand.
