Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has launched a new YouTube channel, “Being the Salman Khan,” to connect with fans through entertaining and educational videos focused on his acting journey, communication style and body language.
Khan recently shared the channel’s link on Instagram, inviting fans to visit the platform. He said he was starting from scratch and that the official channel would offer information covering everything from A to Z.
A Different Approach to YouTube
Unlike many celebrity channels that focus on personal life or behind-the-scenes footage, Salman Khan’s new venture takes a different approach by presenting acting and personality development lessons.
In the videos, Khan appears in two roles. In one, he portrays an experienced acting and personality coach, while in the other, he plays a beginner learning the craft.
Through these contrasting characters, he demonstrates techniques related to his own style, dialogue delivery and body movements, turning the lessons into an entertaining learning experience.
Channel Launch and Early Videos
Salman Khan created the channel on September 22, and ten short videos have been uploaded so far.
This is not his first venture on YouTube. In 2020, he launched Salman Khan Films Music, a music channel that has attracted hundreds of thousands of subscribers. It features songs from his films as well as tracks sung by the actor himself.
Salman Khan’s Musical Journey
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Khan also explored singing, releasing tracks such as “Pyaar Karona” and “Tere Bina.”
With his latest channel, the actor is attempting to showcase a different side of his personality while giving fans an insight into his approach to acting and self-expression.
Celebrities Increasingly Embrace YouTube
YouTube has become an increasingly popular platform for Bollywood stars, South Indian film actors and television personalities seeking direct connections with their audiences.
Celebrities with a presence on the platform include Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Kartik Aaryan, Nora Fatehi, Jacqueline Fernandez, Varun Dhawan, Shilpa Shetty and Farah Khan.
South Indian stars Allu Arjun and Mohanlal also operate official YouTube channels. Television personalities Deepika Kakar, Shoaib Ibrahim, Jannat Zubair and Anushka Sen regularly share videos about their daily lives, travels and personal experiences.
Salman Khan’s Upcoming Projects
Alongside his digital ventures, Salman Khan is currently hosting the popular television show Bigg Boss Season 20.
On the film front, he is set to appear in director Apoorva Lakhia’s upcoming film “Maatrubhumi,” which was previously titled “Battle of Galwan.” The film also stars Chitrangda Singh.
The film’s release has been delayed, and a new release date has not yet been announced.
