Pakistan’s Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced fully funded PhD scholarships for eligible Pakistani students seeking admission to universities in the United States ranked among the top 100 in the QS global rankings.
The scholarships are being offered under the US-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor Project, which aims to expand access to advanced education and research opportunities. Financial support includes tuition fees, living expenses and health insurance, subject to the applicable programme conditions.
Scholarship Benefits Based on University Rankings
HEC has divided the scholarships into two categories according to university rankings.
Students admitted to universities ranked among the top 50 will receive full tuition fee coverage, an annual stipend of $19,000 and $2,000 for health insurance.
For universities ranked between 51st and 100th, candidates may receive tuition fee support of up to $12,000 per year, along with a stipend and health insurance coverage. Applicants should consult HEC’s official guidelines to confirm the exact benefits and conditions for their selected category.
Important Deadlines for 2027
HEC has announced two application deadlines for the 2027 academic year.
- Spring/Summer 2027 intake: October 30, 2026
- Fall 2027 intake: March 30, 2027
