WASHINGTON: U.S. President Donald Trump has expressed confidence that the ongoing conflict will end soon, saying negotiations with Iran are progressing in a positive direction.
Speaking to reporters, Trump said he is personally involved in the ongoing talks with Iran and believes the discussions are moving in the right direction.
"The Strait of Hormuz is currently open and under our control,” the U.S. president said, adding that the United States possesses ample ammunition and is fully prepared to deal with any situation.
Meanwhile, Arab media reported that diplomatic efforts aimed at securing a ceasefire between the United States, Isr*ael and Iran have reached a stalemate.
According to the report, Iranian authorities have tightened internal security measures across the country, particularly in the capital, Tehran, amid continued regional tensions.
