As part of its Vision 2030 strategy to boost tourism and make travel to the Kingdom more convenient, Saudi Arabia has introduced a new digital Saudi Tourist Package Visa for citizens of seven countries, including Pakistan.
How the Saudi Tourist Package Visa Works
According to the Saudi Tourism Authority, eligible travelers will be able to apply for the Saudi Tourist Package Visa while booking an integrated travel package through approved travel providers.
Under the new system, visitors will no longer need to arrange flights, accommodation, and visa applications separately. Instead, all travel services will be combined into a single booking, simplifying the entire travel process.
The package may also include access to tourist attractions, entertainment events, cultural experiences, and other leisure activities, depending on the selected travel package.
Saudi Tourism Minister Highlights Vision 2030 Goals
Saudi Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khateeb said that since the launch of Vision 2030, the Kingdom has introduced several initiatives to simplify travel, including the electronic tourist visa (eVisa), visa on arrival, and transit visa.
He added that the new Saudi Tourist Package Visa further streamlines the process by linking visa issuance directly to the travel package booking, making it faster and more convenient for international visitors.
Pilot Program Launched for Seven Countries
According to the Ministry of Tourism, the pilot phase of the Saudi Tourist Package Visa has initially been launched for citizens of the following seven countries:
- Pakistan
- India
- Bangladesh
- Indonesia
- Egypt
- Jordan
- Mexico
Eligible travelers who purchase an approved travel package will be able to receive their Saudi tourist visa within 48 hours, significantly reducing processing time and making travel planning easier.
The initiative is part of Saudi Arabia’s broader efforts under Vision 2030 to attract more international tourists, diversify the Kingdom’s economy, and strengthen its position as a leading global travel destination.
