Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf has announced that the entire Hajj 2027 process has been made end-to-end digital, allowing pilgrims to complete their Hajj applications, pay dues and access other related services from home.
According to the federal minister, the digital system has been developed on the directions of the Prime Minister in cooperation with the Ministry of Information Technology and the National IT Board. Pilgrims will be provided modern digital services through the Pak Hajj App and Hajj Portal.
First Hajj 2027 Installment to Be Collected From August 17
Sardar Muhammad Yousaf said 107,526 seats have been allocated for the Government Hajj Scheme 2027.
The package for the 40-day Long Hajj Scheme has been set at Rs 1.2 million, while the package for the 20 to 25-day Short Hajj Scheme has been fixed at Rs 1.3 million.
The first installment of Hajj dues will be collected from August 17, 2026. Pilgrims will have to deposit 50 percent of the selected package amount, while the second installment will be collected in the first week of October.
Around Four Lakh Registered Pilgrims Can Complete Applications
According to the minister, around 400,000 registered pilgrims who have completed pre-registration will now be able to proceed with the final stage of their Hajj applications.
A data-sharing system has also been established with the Passport Office to improve passport verification and application processing.
Three Digital Methods for Hajj Payments
Pilgrims under the Government Hajj Scheme will be able to pay their Hajj dues through three digital methods:
- OneLink PSID
- Credit or debit card
- Downloading a digital challan through the Pak Hajj App and paying at any branch of Habib Bank Limited
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has appointed Habib Bank Limited as the authorized banking partner.
Seats to Be Confirmed on First-Come, First-Served Basis
Under the Government Hajj Scheme, seats will be confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis as applicants make payments through the online system. Further payments will be stopped once the allocated seats are filled.
A total of 30,000 seats have been allocated for the Short Hajj Scheme. The online payment process for the short package will be stopped once all these seats are filled.
If the Hajj 2027 seats are fully booked, the remaining registered pilgrims will be placed on the waiting list for the following year, while registration for Hajj 2028 to 2030 will continue.

71,684 Seats Allocated for Private Hajj Scheme
The minister said 71,684 seats have been allocated under the Private Hajj Scheme 2027.
Private Hajj pilgrims will be able to view packages offered by 25 government-approved Hajj organizers through the Hajj Portal or Pak Hajj App and select their preferred package and company.
The government has clarified that selection and payment under the Private Hajj Scheme will also be carried out through the designated official digital system.
Pilgrims Warned Against Direct Payments to Tour Operators
Sardar Muhammad Yousaf urged Hajj pilgrims not to make direct payments to any private tour operator or company.
Any financial transaction or direct payment made outside the official government digital system will not be accepted.
According to the federal minister, the new digital system will protect pilgrims’ funds while ensuring transparency, equality and merit throughout the Hajj application process.
He urged pilgrims to rely only on official information issued through the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Pak Hajj App and Hajj Portal for all Hajj-related information.
