Millat Group of Industries, whose flagship company is Millat Tractors Limited, is set to enter Pakistan’s electric two-wheeler market next month with a new range of electric bikes and scooters.
According to Murad Ansari, Director of Millat Group of Industries, the company’s dedicated electric vehicle production facility is ready, while commercial production and preparations for the launch are underway.
Focus on Quality, Batteries and Pricing
The company says its electric two-wheelers will focus on quality, reliability, long-lasting batteries and competitive pricing, with options aimed at consumers across different segments of Pakistani society.
The new range will also include models featuring swappable battery technology, offering customers greater convenience and flexibility.
Push for Local Manufacturing
A key part of Millat’s strategy is the rapid localization of components. Drawing on its decades of experience in local tractor manufacturing, the company plans to gradually localize components, spare parts and after-sales services for its electric bikes and scooters.
According to the company, the move will improve the availability of spare parts and local services, reduce reliance on imports and help limit the impact of potential supply-chain disruptions.
Nationwide Dealership and Service Network
Millat is establishing a dedicated electric vehicle dealership network across Pakistan to support customers. The company also plans to use the extensive infrastructure of Millat Tractors.
This infrastructure includes more than 700 dealerships and workshops across the country, which will support the availability of services, spare parts and customer assistance.
Building a Locally Supported EV Ecosystem
Murad Ansari said the company’s objective is not limited to introducing electric two-wheelers. Millat also aims to establish a sustainable, locally supported electric vehicle ecosystem in Pakistan, backed by its manufacturing experience and nationwide service infrastructure.
Millat’s Broader Automotive Experience
Millat’s automotive operations extend beyond tractors and agricultural equipment. The group has also partnered with Hyundai Nishat for the assembly and manufacturing of Hyundai vehicles in Pakistan.
The electric vehicle initiative marks a new phase for Millat Group as it brings its manufacturing expertise, localization capabilities and nationwide after-sales infrastructure into Pakistan’s electric mobility sector.
