An additional district and sessions court in Karachi’s South district has acquitted Anmol, alias Pinky, in her fifth case involving drug-related charges after the prosecution failed to present evidence against her.
According to sources, the court accepted her acquittal plea and cleared her of the charges due to a lack of evidence. It ordered that she be released if she is not nominated or wanted in any other case.
With the latest decision, Anmol Pinky has now been acquitted in five cases, including drug-related cases and other criminal proceedings, according to sources.
Two More Cases Dismissed on Friday
Anmol Pinky was also acquitted in two cases on Friday. She had previously secured acquittals in cases registered by the Gizri police and the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD).
A case against her was registered at a Counter Terrorism Department police station in 2018.
The court accepted her acquittal plea after the allegations against her could not be established during the proceedings.
Release Subject to Other Cases
The court’s release order is conditional. Anmol Pinky will be freed only if she is not required in connection with any other case.
Her acquittal in the latest case follows the prosecution’s failure to produce sufficient evidence to substantiate the charges.
Arrest in Karachi in May 2026
Anmol Pinky was arrested on May 12, 2026, during a joint operation by police and a federal intelligence agency in Karachi’s Garden area.
Police said the operation was conducted on the basis of a tip-off. They claimed that approximately 1.5 kilograms of cocaine, a 9mm pistol and a chemical used in cocaine production were recovered from her possession.
