ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has revised its property valuation framework for Islamabad by adding Sector E-8, including residential and commercial properties, shops, shopping centres, open plots and apartments.
The tax authority issued SRO 1335(I)/2026 on Friday, amending the earlier SRO 644(I)/2026 to formally incorporate properties located in E-8 into the capital’s valuation table.
Under the revised notification, a new category covering shops and Class-III shopping centres in E-8 (Naval Headquarters) has been inserted after the existing E-7 heading.
The move means properties in E-8 will now be covered under the FBR’s official valuation framework for tax purposes, bringing the sector into the latest property assessment structure for Islamabad.
