Interior Ministry prepares special report on Pakistan’s visa categories, 69 countries included in business visa list.

Islamabad: The Ministry of Interior has prepared a special report covering various visa categories, dual nationality arrangements and visa agreements with different countries. The report includes details of the business visa list, tourist visa category, grant visa list, dual nationality arrangements and visa abolition agreements.

According to the report, 69 countries are included in Pakistan’s Business Visa List, while 24 countries have been placed on the Tourist Friendly Countries list. A list of 15 countries has also been included under the grant visa category, while Pakistan has dual nationality arrangements with 16 countries.

69 countries included in Pakistan’s Business Visa List

According to the Ministry of Interior’s report, a total of 69 countries are included in the Business Visa List.

The countries on the list are Argentina, Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Belgium, Bosnia, Brazil, Brunei, Canada, Chile, China, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Indonesia, Iran, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Mauritius, Mexico, Morocco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia Republic, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkey, Turkmenistan, the United Kingdom, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and Vietnam.

24 countries included in Tourist Friendly Countries list

According to the report, 24 countries have been included in the Tourist Friendly Countries (TFC) list for group tourism. Group tourism involving citizens of these countries is to be facilitated through designated tour operators.

The countries on the list are Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Responsibility assigned to designated tour operators

According to the Ministry of Interior’s report, designated tour operators will play an important role in arrangements for group tourists arriving from countries included in the Tourist Friendly Countries category.

The report states that the Tourist Friendly Countries list relates to visa facilitation for group tourism through designated tour operators.

15 countries included in grant visa list

The Ministry of Interior’s report also contains a list of 15 countries and organizations under the grant visa category.

The list includes Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Iraq, Israel, Libya, Nigeria, P.L.O., Serbia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tanzania, Uganda and Yemen.

16 countries covered under dual nationality arrangements

According to the report, Pakistan has dual nationality arrangements with 16 countries.

These countries are Australia, Belgium, Canada, Egypt, France, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Jordan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Switzerland, Syria, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Visa abolition agreements with 36 countries

The Ministry of Interior’s report also includes the names of 36 countries with which Pakistan has visa abolition agreements.

The countries are Algeria, Argentina, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Brazil, China including Hong Kong, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Hellenic Republic, Iceland, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Luxembourg, Maldives, Mexico, Morocco, Nepal, Netherlands, Norway, Philippines, Romania, Russian Federation, South Korea, Tajikistan, Tobago, Tonga, Trinidad, Tunisia, Turkey, Western Samoa, Yugoslavia and Zambia.

Nine countries covered for diplomatic passport holders

According to the report, visa abolition arrangements cover diplomatic passport holders from nine countries.

19 countries covered for diplomatic and official passports

The report states that diplomatic and official passport holders from 19 countries are also covered under the relevant visa abolition arrangements.

Eight countries apply all national

According to the report, eight countries have been listed under arrangements that apply to all nationals. These countries are Iceland, Maldives, Nepal, Tobago, Tonga, Trinidad, Western Samoa and Zambia.

Different visa categories listed separately

The Ministry of Interior’s special report places countries into separate categories according to their visa arrangements and agreements. According to the report, 69 countries are included in the Business Visa List, 24 in the Tourist Friendly Countries list, 15 in the grant visa list, 16 under Pakistan’s dual nationality arrangements and 36 in the visa abolition agreements list.

The visa abolition facility is not uniform for all countries. For some countries, the facility is limited to diplomatic or official passport holders, while nationals of certain other countries are covered under the arrangement.
