ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) continued its three-day public auction of commercial plots in the federal capital on the second day, generating strong interest from investors. Over the first two days of the auction, commercial plots and properties worth Rs16.44 billion were sold, reflecting continued confidence in Islamabad’s real estate market and the growing demand for investment opportunities in the capital.
Auction Second Day
On the second day of the auction, Agro Farm No. 18 on Murree Road was auctioned for Rs1.212 billion, while Agro Farm No. 17-A fetched Rs966 million. In addition, several constructed shops in the Blue Area Parking Plaza were successfully sold, including Shop No. 8-A for Rs151.66 million, Shop No. 10-A for Rs147.71 million, and Shop No. 12-A for Rs153.63 million. The total value of properties sold on the second day reached Rs2.63 billion, following first-day sales of Rs13.81 billion.
The CDA said the three-day auction will conclude on at the Jinnah Convention Centre, where additional commercial plots will be offered to investors. The authority described the auction as an important opportunity for individuals and businesses seeking to invest in Islamabad’s commercial real estate sector, with participation from a large number of prospective buyers.
Chairman of the Auction Committee, Muhammad Umair, said the revenue generated through the auction would be utilized to improve the city’s infrastructure, complete major development projects, expand civic services, and address long-standing public issues, including water supply.
