Gold prices fell sharply in both Pakistan and international markets for the fifth consecutive day, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Association.
The price of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs11,300 per tola, bringing it down to Rs454,036 across the country.
The price of 10 grams of gold also declined by Rs9,688 to Rs389,262.
Silver prices followed the downward trend. The price of one tola of silver fell by Rs270 to Rs6,859.
International gold market
Gold prices also recorded a significant decline in the international market. The price of gold fell by $113 per ounce to $4,315.
The latest figures show continued weakness in gold prices across both local and international markets.
Gold prices on the previous day
On September 1, the price of 24-karat gold in Pakistan stood at Rs465,336 per tola after a decline of Rs800. The price of 10 grams of gold fell by Rs686 to Rs398,950, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association.
