EVEE has showcased the S1 Air Self Drive at PAPS 2026, presenting an experimental version of its existing S1 Air electric scooter that can move and maintain balance without a rider controlling it.
The company says the technology is currently in the research and development phase, with no launch date or commercial price announced yet.
EVEE also claims that if the model eventually enters production, it could become Pakistan’s first self-driving electric scooter.
Based on the S1 Air Platform
The S1 Air Self Drive is based on the standard S1 Air platform, but features additional motorized hardware and a control system designed to enable autonomous movement and balancing.
The standard S1 Air comes with a 2,200W motor, a claimed range of 90–110 kilometers, and a top speed of around 65–70 km/h.
It uses a 76.8V 32Ah Phylion lithium battery. The standard EVEE S1 Air Lithium is currently priced at Rs. 319,900.
Self-Driving and Balancing System
The key addition to the S1 Air Self Drive is its self-driving system. Additional motor hardware allows the scooter to move independently during demonstrations without a rider.
A balancing system also enables the scooter to remain upright while operating without a rider.
EVEE has not disclosed the complete sensor setup, control software, or final hardware architecture used in the system.
As a result, the S1 Air Self Drive remains a development-stage prototype rather than a production-ready electric scooter.
No Launch Date or Price Announced
EVEE has not announced when, or whether, the self-driving version of the S1 Air will be offered through showrooms.
The company has also not revealed a commercial price. According to EVEE, testing and evaluation of the technology are still underway before a decision is made on potential production.
For now, the S1 Air Self Drive provides a preview of the technologies EVEE is exploring for future electric two-wheelers.
Gen-Z Pro Side-Seat Version
EVEE also displayed a Gen-Z Pro equipped with a side seat at PAPS 2026.
Rather than introducing a new powertrain, the modified version demonstrates how the company’s existing electric scooter platform can be adapted for different uses.
