ISLAMABAD: Gold prices increased sharply in Pakistan and the international market for the second consecutive day. According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold increased by Rs5,200 per tola, reaching Rs477,136 per tola.
The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also increased by Rs4,458, taking the price to Rs409,067.
International Gold Price Climbs to $4,547
Gold prices also recorded a significant increase in the international market.
The international price of gold rose by $52 per ounce, reaching $4,547 per ounce.
The rise in global gold prices has also contributed to the increase in local bullion prices in Pakistan.
Silver Price Also Increases
The price of silver also moved higher in the local market.
According to the latest market rates, the price of silver increased by Rs219 per tola, reaching Rs7,379 per tola.
Gold Had Already Jumped Rs13,700
Gold prices had also recorded a major increase in Pakistan a day earlier.
The price of 24-karat gold had risen by Rs13,700 per tola during the previous trading session.
The latest increase means gold prices have continued their upward movement in the domestic market, while international bullion prices have also remained elevated.
