Google has officially introduced a new premium laptop category called “Google Book,” marking a major expansion of its laptop lineup.
According to the company, all five models will go on sale in the US market on October 4. The devices feature the “Material 3 Expressive” interface and integrate Google’s Gemini artificial intelligence into the operating system.
Google Book Experience
The Google Book desktop experience closely resembles that of Google Pixel phones. Quick Settings, Wi-Fi and passwords can automatically sync with Android phones.
The devices also include Android 17’s “Continue On” feature, Gemini’s “Magic Pointer,” and an advanced Linux environment for developers.
Five Google Book Models
Google has introduced five models in collaboration with major global technology companies, with prices and specifications varying across the lineup.
Acer Google Book 14
The Acer Google Book 14 starts at $899. It is powered by Intel Core Ultra 5 or 7 Panther Lake processors and comes with 16GB of RAM and more than 256GB of storage.
The laptop features a 14-inch 2.8K OLED touchscreen, a fingerprint sensor and an aluminum body.
Dell XPS Google Book
The Dell XPS Google Book starts at $1,199 and uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon X Ultra processor.
It offers 16GB to 32GB of RAM and more than 512GB of storage. The device features a 13.4-inch 2.5K touchscreen and has a slim 12.7mm body while weighing just 1kg.
Asus Google Book 14
The Asus Google Book 14 starts at $1,299 and is available with Intel Core Ultra 5 or 7 Panther Lake processors.
It comes with 16GB to 32GB of RAM and more than 256GB of storage. Other features include a 14-inch 2.8K OLED touchscreen, a haptic touchpad, a fingerprint sensor, and an aluminum and magnesium body.
HP Google Book 14
The HP Google Book 14 also starts at $1,299. It features a Qualcomm Snapdragon X Ultra processor, 16GB to 32GB of RAM and more than 256GB of storage.
The laptop has a 14-inch 2.8K OLED touchscreen and includes both fingerprint security and face authentication for unlocking.
Lenovo Google Book 15
The Lenovo Google Book 15 starts at $1,299 and is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 5 Panther Lake processor.
It comes with 16GB of RAM and more than 256GB of storage, along with a larger 15.3-inch 2.8K OLED touchscreen. The laptop also features Dolby Atmos sound and a carbon-fiber body.
Security Features
Google said all the devices use a “Level 5” security-certified hypervisor technology to help secure the Linux environment.
The security system is designed to provide protection for the Linux environment across the new Google Book lineup.
