The father of Zeeshan Arshad, a domestic worker arrested in the Hina Javed murder case, has claimed that his son is being falsely implicated in the killing and that the entire blame is being placed on him.
Muhammad Arshad said his son told him during a jail visit that Hina Javed and her husband, Faisal Asghar, had an argument on the night of the incident.
According to Muhammad Arshad, his son had been working at Hina Javed’s home for the past seven months. He said he had met Zeeshan twice in jail since his arrest.
What Allegedly Happened on the Night of the Incident?
Muhammad Arshad said Zeeshan told him that he woke up on the night of August 20 after hearing an argument and commotion between the couple.
According to the father’s account of his son’s claims, Faisal Asghar was following Hina Javed and told Zeeshan to stop her. Zeeshan allegedly refused, saying he did not want to interfere in the couple’s personal dispute.
Muhammad Arshad further claimed that his son said Faisal Asghar assaulted him and threatened him with a weapon while ordering him to catch Hina Javed.
Father Alleges Torture to Force Confession
Muhammad Arshad alleged that his son was tortured in police custody and pressured into confessing to the crime.
He rejected the allegations against Zeeshan, arguing that his son had been employed at the household for seven months and questioning why anyone would have hired him if he had a criminal background.
The father maintained that police had placed the entire responsibility for Hina Javed’s murder on his son, whom he described as innocent.
