Iran and Oman have reached an agreement on maritime shipping route maps in the Strait of Hormuz, while Tehran has indicated that it may announce a new restricted zone within the next few days.
According to Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, the two countries are expected to sign a formal agreement on the matter within the coming days.
New Restricted Zone
Rezaei said a restricted zone will be established outside the Strait of Hormuz. According to him, the zone will begin from the line of the US blockade and extend toward the Gulf.
