The Ministry of Religious Affairs has introduced several new features in the Pakistan Hajj App to make the Hajj process more convenient for pilgrims.
Under the updated system, pilgrims can modify their package duration and accommodation choices from home without needing to visit an office.
Private Hajj Scheme Applications
According to the ministry spokesperson, around 26,000 applications have so far been received under the private Hajj scheme, while 45,000 seats remain available.
The Pakistan Hajj App and Digital Hajj Portal now also allow pilgrims to add a Mahram or helper under the hardship quota. Applicants can also cancel their applications and request a refund when required.
Accommodation and Package Changes
Pilgrims can now choose or change their accommodation arrangements remotely, including two-bed, three-bed, family-room and sharing options.
The new system also allows pilgrims to switch from a long Hajj package to a short package or from a short package to a long package.
Medical Fitness Certificate Facility
Pilgrims can download their medical fitness certificate through the Pakistan Hajj App, have it verified by the relevant doctor and then upload the verified certificate back to the portal.
Overseas Pakistanis will be required to upload a medical fitness certificate verified by a doctor located near them.
Digital Hajj Booking Process
The private Hajj booking process is continuing through the Digital Hajj Portal developed by the National Information Technology Board.
The newly introduced digital facilities are aimed at allowing pilgrims to complete key Hajj-related procedures remotely through the Pakistan Hajj App and Digital Hajj Portal.
