The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has barred former national captain Mohammad Rizwan and opening batter Imam-ul-Haq from playing domestic cricket.
According to sources, the PCB has taken the decision against the two national cricketers while they are under investigation by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA).
The decision means both players will be unable to participate in the President’s Trophy Grade One tournament.
Both Players Miss President’s Trophy
Sources said the PCB’s decision prevents Rizwan and Imam-ul-Haq from playing in the President’s Trophy Grade One.
Mohammad Rizwan had been appointed vice-captain of the Sui Gas team for the tournament, while Imam-ul-Haq had been appointed captain of the OGDCL team.
Fitness Test Requirement Cited
According to sources, the two cricketers did not appear for fitness tests with their respective departmental teams, as required under the rules.
The PCB decision comes as both players face an investigation by the NCCIA, according to the report.
