Wedding photographs of Mahnoor Safdar, the daughter of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and Captain (retd) Muhammad Safdar, have attracted widespread attention on social media.
Mahnoor Safdar married Azan Jabbar, son of prominent industrialist Jabbar Khalid, during a dignified but closely guarded family ceremony held at Jati Umra on Saturday evening.
Members of the Sharif family, close relatives and several prominent political figures attended the nikah ceremony. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived at Jati Umra especially to attend the event.
Former prime minister and PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif, Mahnoor’s father Captain (retd) Muhammad Safdar, Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz were also present. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb and other notable personalities attended the ceremony as well.

A Private Family Ceremony
According to family sources, the nikah was held at 5 p.m. on Saturday at Jati Umra. The event was kept highly private, with invitations limited to members of the Sharif family, close relatives and immediate family friends.
Who Is Azan Jabbar?
Azan Jabbar belongs to a well-known business and trading family. His father, Jabbar Khalid, is a prominent industrialist, while the family is associated with a large flour mill business.
Mahnoor Safdar recently completed her higher education and graduation from SOAS University of London. Maryam Nawaz had travelled to London to attend her daughter’s graduation ceremony.
On that occasion, Maryam Nawaz expressed her happiness and said that, by the grace of Allah, all three of her children had completed their higher education.
